SÔda harvendas Vene vÀgede ridu Eesti piiri taga

âVenemaa sĂ”jaline jĂ”ud Eesti piiri ÀÀres ei ole aastaid olnud nii nĂ”rk nagu praegu, kuna Ukraina sĂ”jas langenud sĂ”durid ja hĂ€vitatud sĂ”jatehnika avaldavad otsest mĂ”ju idanaabri vĂ”imekusele meie lĂ€heduses.â

Euroopa Liidus seati hinnalagi Vene naftale. Kallas: see oli hetkel parim vÔimalik kompromiss
(Postimees)
âEuroopa Liidu liikmesriigid jĂ”udsid tĂ€na poliitilisele kokkuleppele kehtestada Venemaa naftale hinnalagi â 60 dollarit barreli kohta. ⊠Eesti tegi selle tulemuse saavutamiseks tĂ”siseid jĂ”upingutusi ning mul on kokkuleppe ĂŒle hea meel, sest see on oluline samm Ukraina toetamisel ja Venemaa sĂ”jamasina peatamisel, tĂ”des peaminister Kaja Kallas (RE).â
â
âIga dollar, mille vĂ”rra hinnalagi madalam on, tĂ€hendab Venemaale umbes 2 miljardi dollari vĂ”rra vĂ€iksemat tulu. Seega see, et meil Ă”nnestus kokku leppida 5 dollari vĂ”rra madalamas hinnas, tĂ€hendab, et Venemaa sĂ”jamasin jÀÀb ilma 10 miljardist dollarist,» selgitas peaminister, nentides siiski, et hind vĂ”inuks olla veelgi madalam.â

Hawkish Estonia under pressure to accept higher cap on Russian oil price
(The Guardian)
âThe level of the cap on the price of seaborne oil has been the subject of fraught negotiations within both the European Union and the G7 group of industrialised nations. ⊠Despite its size, Estonia is in theory in a strong negotiating position since unanimity is needed for the price cap. âThere is a âneed to change the paradigm of Western support,â said Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Reinsalu. Sitting in a small train compartment on Sunday night, the minister said that arms assistance to Ukraine can no longer be a âgradualâ response to Russiaâs escalatory steps â and more weapons should be provided âwithout any caveats.â
â
âThe Estonian minister called for a two-pronged approach: giving Ukraine a âshieldâ and a âsword.â The shield, he said, âmeans all the types of air defense systemsâ while the sword entails âlong-range missiles, so that they could reach also to these places from where the missiles which are intended to destroy their civic infrastructure are launched.â

Poland, Estonia and Lithuania are pushing to hit Putinâs oil revenue with a tougher cap on prices

âU.S. officials have stepped in to try to persuade Poland and other EU countries to agree on a plan to hit Vladimir Putin's war fund by capping the price paid for Russian oil. The Ukrainian Village That Sacrificed Itself for Kherson

âAt the height of its destruction, hundreds of rockets rained down on Posad-Pokrovske every day. Things have gotten quiet since Russian troops left the outskirts, and the city of Kherson was liberated this month.
